What will you do?
The successful candidate will report to the Sanlam Emerging Markets Head of Statutory Reporting and responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following:
• Processing of foreign subsidiary financial results in HFM (Hyperion financial management) for monthly reporting, year-end close process and interim review process
• Assist with cluster financial consolidation including preparation of note disclosures for year-end close process and interim review process
• Assistance with the compilation of holding company financial statements in terms of IFRS
• Ensure effective controls and procedures are in place, and focus on process improvements
• Interactions with the external auditors
• Assistance with a special project in respect of note disclosures
• Assistance with a special project in respect of IFRS 17
What will make you successful in this role?
Qualification and Experience
• Newly qualified CA(SA)
• Relevant experience in a similar role within financial services and/or insurance industry
Knowledge and Skills
• Good working knowledge of IFRS standards and group consolidations
• HFM experience will be an added advantage
