    Financial Manager CA(SA)

    Role Description
    We are looking for a candidate with the rare skill to build, extend and maintain our accounting processes and management, thereby managing our financial risk, while also working with the CEO and Business Development team to build the leading and innovative refrigeration company in Sub-Saharan Africa. A strong aptitude/track record for external/commercial challenges is a non-negotiable requirement. We are further about to implement an ERP system (replacing the current multitude of systems) – any experience in such a project is recommended.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Financial Manager will be responsible for the following:

    • Ultimate responsibility for Financial Management and risk mitigation
    • Development of innovative commercial structures which facilitate energy projects
    • Assist/lead implementation and Operation of ERP system
    • External leading role in working with CEO and Business Development function in both selling and implementing our innovative commercial structures to client

    Candidate Profile Description Requirements
    We are looking for a well-rounded individual, for whom values are important. The ideal candidate will be someone who has the following characteristics:

    • A top achiever, well-balanced individual with a demonstrated track record/aptitude for both an internal and external facing role
    • Relevant tertiary education and CA (SA) qualification
    • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task
    • Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Pastel, Sage 300, JobSYS, ect)
    • Any experience in implementation and operation of ERP systems highly commendable
    • 3-5+ years progressive financial and accounting experience (post article experience in Financial Management) preferably in a manufacturing and/or projects environment
    • Professional/proven communication skills
    • Comfortable interacting with external clients and suppliers at senior level
    • Dual track record/capability to both build and maintain a foundation for Financial Management while aptitude to grow our commercial focus. This would include:
    • Extending our current foundation of financial accounting and management that will ensure accurate financial record keeping, timely reporting and financial risk mitigation across the company.
    • Extending our limited management accounting platform to produce timely and relevant management accounts and control/risk mitigation which includes margin analysis, project profitability, FX hedging/strategies, assisting procurement negotiations, etc.
    • With both Financial and Management accounting foundations built, work with the CEO to develop and implement innovative financial structures through which energy projects can be executed such as the formation of JV’s, SPV’s, and innovative lease structures. Understand the tax and financial complications of all structures and implement for mutual benefit to us and clients
    • Assist the CEO and Business Development team in the leading of proposal/conversations/negotiations/implementation – as pertaining to financial structures. This includes face-to-face presentation/proposal/ negotiations with clients – to ‘sell’ our proposed structures – together with our overall business and technical value propositions
    • Assessing credit risk of potential customers
    • Build a strong relationship with Group Finance function – both Financial Reporting and Investment Submissions (Credit Committee)

    Other responsibilities

    • Upholding of the Company Confidentiality Agreement
    • Compliance with all relevant legislations
    • Effective management and continuity of all related activities
    • All performance related tasks as required

    Salary

    • R900k CTC per annum depending on previous experience and possible High Impact contribution within the organisation.
    • Eligible for discretionary bonus and share options over and above basic salary.
