Financial Manager at Crayon

The Financial Manager will work with the bookkeeper to ensure the financial wellbeing of the company. The ideal candidate must have experience in stock control as well as manufacturing. This is a new role, reporting directly to the CEO, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to structure the role to some extent. As it’s a new role, there will be some work required to correct historical numbers. Specific tasks will include forex handling, payroll, customer collections, cash flow management and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Produce required financial reports and statements to agreed timescales, and on request
• Produce cash flow forecasts on request
• Ensure that balance sheet recons are produced accurately and timeously
• Ensure that finance policies, procedures and systems are adhered to
• Oversee debtors and creditors
• Correct historical numbers
• Payroll
• Customer collections
• Cash flow management
• Budgeting
• Handle forex

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10 years’ experience in finance roles, preferably in a FM role or similar
• Experience in stock control as well as manufacturing
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to take a strategic approach
• Structure the role based on the needs of the business
