About the Role

• An industry leader within the food manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Financial Manager who will oversee financial strategies and processes. This role focuses on financial planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure our financial health and compliance.
• You will collaborate with various departments to drive informed decision-making and contribute to the overall strategic vision of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management processes to support operational objectives.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to guide business strategy and investment decisions.
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
• Monitor financial performance by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular reporting to the executive committee.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and auditing requirements.
• Lead and develop the finance team, promoting professional development and ensuring the team meets deadlines effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial awareness and decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• The successful incumbent will have at least five (5) years' proven experience within bookkeeping.
• The ability to perform full accounting duties up to trial balance.
• Proficient in financial software (Evolution) and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance
• Ability to prepare accurate reconciliations and financial reports.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders in both English and Afrikaans.
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
