An unique opportunity came available for an experience Finance Manager with a privately owned mining group client of mine situated in Limpopo. They specialised in a number of minerals and metals in a number of countries. This person would lead and manage the financial functions, IT, Supply Chain, and Payroll as well as  drive strategic thinking, oversee business planning, and ensure strong compliance. Someone who would complement this team would show characteristics of being diverse, resilient and robust.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial functions to meet shareholder goals and legal requirements, focusing on risk profile improvement
• Contribute to Organizational Strategy, develop and monitor Departmental strategies
• Authorize and be accountable for business plan processes, financial inputs, and forecasts
• Manage internal/external financial reporting, addressing operational needs and ensuring best practices in IT security and data protection
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, risk management, and control over assets
• Enforce adherence to authorization limits and monitor/control Operations cash flow
• Oversee physical control of payments

Requirements:

• Qualified CA(SA) / CIMA advantageous 
• Degree/Honours Degree in Accounting/Financial Management 
• 10 – 12 years financial management experience in a Mining environment
