    Financial Reporting Accountant

    Qualification and Experience

    • Qualified CA (SA)
    • Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”)
    • Committed to building a career in finance
    • Good report writing skills
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Ability to work under pressure in a small team environment
    • Well-organised individual with excellent planning and administration skills

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Financial and management reporting

    • Review of investees’ monthly management accounts submitted to the Group and the raising/resolution of queries thereon
    • Preparation of management accounts for a division of THE Group
    • Issuing IFRS reporting instructions to THE Group investees at interim and year-end
    • Perform IFRS consolidation and complete reporting pack for a division of the Group at interim and year-end
    • Assist with performing IFRS consolidation for THE Group at interim and year-end
    • Preparation of various standalone and consolidated annual financial statements
    • Liaise with external auditors in respect of the audit process of aforementioned consolidations, reporting packs and annual financial statements
    • Review of overall “bookkeeping to trial balance” function performed by bookkeepers in respect of certain inhouse entities
    • Ensure appropriate internal controls are consistently applied to inhouse entities

    Treasury function

    • Second reviewer and approver of EFT payments for inhouse entities

    Secretarial

    • Attend and prepare minutes for select meetings (e.g. divisional audit and risk committee meetings)
    • Drafting of basic director and shareholder resolutions

    Other

    • Preparation of ad-hoc financial information for various stakeholders
    • Assisting with tax matters (e.g. submission of tax returns, attending to SARS queries)
