Fitness Instructor at Virgin Active South Africa

Job Description:

• We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Fitness Instructor. The Fitness Instructor will be responsible for designing and leading fitness classes, providing one-on-one personal training sessions, and assisting members with their fitness goals.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness and wellness, excellent communication skills, and a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Responsibilities:

• Design and lead group fitness classes, including strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises
• Provide personalized one-on-one personal training sessions for members
• Develop individualized fitness programs for members based on their goals and fitness level
• Provide guidance and support to members on proper exercise techniques and equipment usage
• Monitor and track members' progress towards their fitness goals
• Maintain a clean and safe workout environment
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and research in fitness and wellness

Qualifications:

• Certified Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer
• CPR/AED certification
• Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition
• Experience teaching group fitness classes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire others
• Positive attitude and passion for health and fitness
