Job Advert Summary    

This position will be required to work shifts in compliance with the Basic conditions of employment. Maintain housekeeping, safety, health and environmental standards. To assist the maintenance team to achieve high level of availability of machinery and equipment in the plant. 

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics & Science
• Relevant trade certificate (Fitter and Turner qualified) through QCTO – Red seal (based on NQF L4)
• Relevant N qualification in the specific trade (Minimum N2 with mechanical theory)
• Valid driver’s license
• 3 - 5 years relevant Artisan experience in a Heavy engineering Industrial And/or manufacturing environment.
• Conveyor belts, Screw Conveyors, Pneumatic & Hydraulics.
• Elevators, Scraper Chains, Rotary Kilns, Gearboxes, Gyratory & Hydro cone Crushers, Vertical Roller and Ball Mills, Reclaimers, Packer, Unitizers
• Equipment experience would be advantages: Conveyor belts, Screw Conveyors, Pneumatic & Hydraulics, Elevators, Scraper Chains, Rotary Kilns, Gearboxes, Gyratory & Hydro cone Crushers, Vertical Roller and Ball Mills., Reclaimers, Packer, Unitizers

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Ensure all mechanical plant repairs are carried out in accordance with required standards
• Adhere to maintenance systems and policies
• Prompt reaction time to breakdowns and requests
• Assist with the spares planning for the maintenance
• Accurate admin of related issues (timekeeping, history feedback, repair text, job cards)
• Adherence to systems and authority levels
• To complete all job cards issued as per plan schedule
• Perform Standby duties / night shift
• Application of company best practices / engineering standards (ACP’s / Risk Assessments)
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, health, and environmental standards (SHEQ compliance)
