Job Description
THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
- The Fitter needs to ensure that all Albany Germiston equipment is maintained in order to have minimum breakdowns and that the plant availability is in accordance to set standards.
- To maintain plant and machinery to world class standards while providing support to the Maintenance Manager in project and development work
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Machining
- Welding / cutting / development and similar competencies
- Maintenance
- Installation of machinery
- Light construction work
- Control own allocated work area
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Qualified Fitter (Must have Trade certificate)
- At least 5 years experience in a production environment
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays
- Knowledge of bakery machinery
- Knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems will be an advantage
- Must be able to do maintenance using a computerised maintenance system
- Must be able to be do standby duties
- Must be familiar with installation and construction work
