Job Purpose

• To maintain, repair, and assemble mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure smooth plant operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Qualified Fitter Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and equipment assembly
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Medically fit
• Willingness to work overtime and shifts when required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
• Assemble, install, and align machinery components
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Replace worn or damaged parts
• Assist with shutdown maintenance activities
• Ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area
• Complete maintenance documentation and reports
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures
