Minimum Requirements:
Trade Tested Fitter & Turner (Red Seal or equivalent)
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a heavy engineering or equipment environment
Strong machining and fitting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Good understanding of tolerances, measurements, and mechanical systems
Experience with: Lathe Milling Machine and Boring Mills
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter & Turner to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for precision machining, mechanical fitting, and assembly of components for heavy equipment. This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, minimal rework, efficient material usage, and high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Machine components to exact tolerances using lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment
Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, and alignment of components (shafts, bearings, gearboxes, etc.)
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
Conduct inspections and quality checks before releasing work
