Fixed Assets and Staff Debtors Accountant at The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA)

Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: 

• Management Accounts and the responsibilities include: 
• Monitoring and processing transactions on the JD Edwards system daily 
• Generating monthly depreciation postings on the JD Edwards financial system 
• Monitoring and reporting monthly expenditure to the Manager: Management Accounts 
• Ensuring timely and accurate transfer of accounts to the general ledger 
• Assisting in Financial Audits 
• Adherence to financial regulations and policies 
• Running integrity reports for assets monthly 
• Preparing the PPE (Property Plant and Equipment) and intangibles 
• Ensuring that all the general ledger accounts are reconciled to the fixed assets register.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required: 

• Relevant Diploma in Finance (NQF Level 6) 
• Relevant Degree in Finance (NQF Level 7) would be an added advantage 
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in staff debtors and PPE reconciliations.
