    Floor Supervisor – Nintendo Store, Sandton City

    Job Description

    • We are looking for an energetic, sales-driven Floor Supervisor to join the Nintendo Store team at Sandton City.
    • This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about gaming, technology and creating memorable customer experiences. You will take ownership of daily activity on the sales floor, support the Store Manager and lead the team in achieving sales, service and operational targets.
    • The role is responsible for driving daily sales performance through active floor leadership, upselling and cross-selling, while ensuring that merchandising, customer experience and team execution remain aligned with Nintendo’s brand standards.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    Sales Performance

    • Lead by example on the sales floor and drive the achievement of daily and monthly revenue targets.
    • Actively promote cross-selling and upselling, with a strong focus on games, accessories and protection plans.
    • Monitor sales performance throughout the day and adjust floor activities where required.
    • Drive key sales measures, including average transaction value, units per transaction and product attachment rates.
    • Support the team in converting customer traffic and product demonstrations into sales.

    Floor Operations and Merchandising

    • Maintain excellent floor presentation and visual merchandising standards.
    • Ensure demonstration areas, interactive stations and trial products are clean, fully operational and properly stocked.
    • Manage floor replenishment and ensure products are available on displays.
    • Complete daily opening and closing floor checks, including point-of-sale readiness and security checks.
    • Assist the Store Manager with stock counts, inventory control and shrink management.

    Customer Experience

    • Create an engaging, interactive and memorable experience for every customer.
    • Ensure the team actively engages customers across all areas of the store.
    • Respond to customer queries and resolve floor-related concerns quickly and professionally.
    • Gather customer feedback and share relevant insights with the Store Manager.
    • Maintain high customer satisfaction and mystery shopper standards.

    Team Leadership

    • Supervise, motivate and coach Retail Sales Associates and Brand Ambassadors during shifts.
    • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate sales targets, promotional priorities and key products.
    • Provide ongoing coaching on product knowledge, gaming titles, selling techniques and customer engagement.
    • Ensure effective floor coverage and manage team rotations during busy trading periods.
    • Monitor punctuality, dress code, conduct and performance.
    • Address performance or behavioural concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Consistently demonstrate and reinforce the company values of Focus, Passion, Innovation, Getting Things Done, Teamwork, Embracing Difference and Integrity.

    What We’re Looking For

    • A Higher Certificate or Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Marketing or a related field. A degree would be advantageous.
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a high-volume retail environment.
    • At least one year of experience in a supervisory, team leader or senior sales position.
    • Previous experience in gaming, consumer technology, interactive retail or lifestyle brands would be highly advantageous.
    • Strong sales closing, upselling and cross-selling ability.
    • A genuine passion for gaming and technology.
    • Strong communication, coaching and people-management skills.
    • Basic knowledge of inventory management and point-of-sale controls.
    • The ability to remain hands-on, energetic and customer-focused in a busy retail environment.
