Desired experience and qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Qualified Artisan.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment with specific experience managing the maintenance department.
• Must be computer literate.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Self-initiative, self-confident and firm personality.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent planning, organising and time-management skills.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist with planning, ordering, loss control, staffing issues, and industrial relations.
• Supervision of maintenance staff on a daily basis and the quality control of all work.
• Planning for and allocation of maintenance related work.
• Ensuring that maintenance staff are adequately trained and informed of changes in work-related legislation.
• Planning and coordination of projects.
• General staff morale and discipline.
• Formulation of rosters and controlling staff timekeeping.
• Accurate record keeping.
