    Foreman: Rigging (Internal/External) - Hay 14/C3

    Key Performance Areas

    • Lead and supervise the daily activities of artisans.
    • Assign tasks based on task priorities and team member skills.
    • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    • Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of rigging equipment, transport vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
    • Conduct inspections and testing of rigging systems and components to ensure functionality and safety.
    • Diagnose and resolve rigging equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Plan and oversee rigging tasks from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and procurement of materials.
    • Monitor task progress and adjust timelines as needed to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of rigging & maintenance, or upgrades.
    • Monitor maintenance schedule adherence of all job cards, statutory and preventive maintenance
    • Manage resource utilization
    • Work backlog control
    • Timeous return of completed Job Cards to Planning Office for capturing and recoveries.
    • Ensure all rigging equipment maintenance work complies with local, national, and international codes and safety regulations.
    • Promote a culture of safety within the team, conducting regular safety meetings and training.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and safety reports.
    • Ensure Team does BBS observations
    • Ensure Team perform check lists for safety equipment.
    • Ensure the provisioning of an effective maintenance service
    • Communicate with customers Internal and External.
    • Ensure minimum turnaround time for jobs done.
    • Ensure Customer Job Card Rating is done on all defect job cards.
    • Minimise non- conformances on work done
    • Manage the rigging section’s budget and ensure cost-effective solutions.
    • Order and manage inventory of necessary parts, supplies and equipment.
    • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for equipment, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
    • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members.
    • Address any disciplinary issues and provide guidance for career development.
    • Foster a positive working environment and encourage teamwork.
    • Conduct Green Area Meetings (Toolbox Talk) every morning before dispatching employees to work areas

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Qualified Artisan Rigger - Trade Tested with Red Seal
    • Supervisory Certificate
    • Driver’s License (Compulsory) 

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Rigging equipment operations as an artisan/technician
    • 2 years’ experience in supervisory role
    • Good knowledge of Necsa site facilities and mobile equipment.
    • Computer literacy
