Forklift Operator at Twizza (Pty) Ltd

We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Forklift Operator role based in our Cape Town operation, situated in Bellville South. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the supply of packing material and packing of finished product in the Warehouse.

Job description

• Ensure that finished product is not damaged by forklift
• Offloading full pallets off the line
• Supply boards to be loaded on layer board machine
• Bring pallets and load on pallet magazine
• Packing finished product in warehouse
• Make sure machines go on charge end of shift
• Batteries must be checked (water levels and loose connections) before machine get used
• Physical check on the machine must be done and any defects must be reported
• Forklift must be kept clean at all times
• Charging area to be clean
• Must be prepared to carry out any lawful and reasonable instructions
• Make sure pallets are in good order
• Make sure boards are in good order
• Check that pallets are packed properly before taking to warehouse
• Adhere to company health & safety policy’s 
• Adhere to standards
• Adhere to all Food Safety Standards and report on all issues with regards to the Food Safety Management System to the Food Safety Team. 

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12/ Matric
• Valid Forklift License
• 6 months experience
• Ability to work under pressure
• Forklift operation experience in a Manufacturing and/or FMCG production environment advantageous
