    FP & A Lead

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluating whether the company’s investments are the best use of the company’s capital, by looking at return on investment, benchmarking with other companies and comparisons with other ways the company might utilize its funds
    • Gauging the company’s overall financial health, using existing key financial ratios, as well as developing particular metrics suited to the Yoco operation
    • Assessing the company’s products or product lines, understanding their strategic and financial value and working with the product managers to develop and review growth and revenue expectations
    • Examining and evaluating the cost-efficiency of each department of the company, in light of what percentage of the company’s financial resources each department consumes relative to the value it creates
    • Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations
    • Working with individual departments to prepare and rationalise budgets and consolidate them into one overall corporate budget
    • Preparing internal reports, conducting ad-hoc analysis for executive and senior leadership and supporting their decision making
    • Comparing historical results against budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward
    • Considering opportunities for the company to expand or grow. Mapping out growth plans, including capital expenditures and investments. Generating three- to five-year financial forecasts.

    Requirements for the role
    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Accounting or Finance.
    • 5+ years experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
    • Strong business acumen and pragmatism. 
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. 
    • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
    • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
    • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and get hands on, working within teams.

    PREFERRED

    • SQL, Tableau, or Python programming skills.
    • Emerging market, FinTech or startup experience.
    • MBA or management consulting experience.
