Freezer Operator at Astral Foods Ltd

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Safe and proper operating of spiral and tunnel freezers;
• Assist artisans and controllers with basic freezer maintenance;
• Perform start up checks to ensure freezers are operational;
• Defrosting and de- icing of freezers;
• Completion of check sheets;
• Reporting of all freezer maintenance issues;
• General housekeeping of freezer and surrounding areas.          

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Matric preferable;
• Relevant technical working experience with freezers;
• Be self-motivated and self-disciplined;
• Have sober habits;
• Must adhere to all relevant regulations as applicable to the industry;
• Experience in the Food Processing Industry would be an added advantage;
• Must be prepared to work overtime, shifts, weekends and public holidays.
