Digital web developer responsible for front-end development, generating all new code for both the front and back-end as well as ensuring that the system can plug-into a variety of databases. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. In addition, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment, back-end knowledge, is required.

Qualifications:

• 3 year Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification (NQF level 6). Preferably IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering.

Experience:

• 5 years solid development experience as a developer using predominantly the latest frontend and backend technologies/frameworks.
• Solid development experience as a developer using predominantly JEE, JQuery, NodeJS, MongoDB, Postgresql, AngularJS, Ionic.
• Technical/ Systems design experience would be an advantage. Experienced with using source control in a collaborative team setting.

Special Requirements:

• A solid understanding of JEE, Springboot MVC, AngularJS, HTML, JavaScript and CSS is required.
• Experience as End To End application development, with excellent HTML5, JavaScript and CSS knowledge.
• Proficient in Drupal, including custom module development, key contributed modules and core API.
• Experience integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems.
• Proficient in the maintenance and administration of JEE, JQuery, NodeJS, MongoDB, Postgresql, AngularJS, Ionic.
• Fluent with HTML5/XHTML and SCSS, JEE, JQuery, NodeJS, MongoDB, Postgresql, AngularJS, Ionic, and JavaScript.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the web protocol ecosystem, including HTTP/S. REST/SOAP/JSON web services, etc.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas to business users and other teams.
• You are a strong communicator, that loves to investigate and find the best solutions for our clients.
• Experience in high-volume, fast moving, deadline-driven studio environment.
• Works independently and within a team, structures and manages own time well.
• Proactive, solution-centric mindset.
