General Manager at Boardroom Appointments

Main Purpose:

• In preparation for the upskilling of the site resources, the company is looking for a strong General Manager who will be responsible for the safe, efficient operations of the Manufacturing value chain at the Mill units.
• The General Manager will lead a multidisciplinary management team to achieve business plan objectives of safety, quality, costs, human resources capability, development and cultural change whilst continually pursuing opportunities to improve business practices, processes and strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure delivery and drive improvements of site Safety, Health, Environment and Risk programs,
• Lead a multidisciplinary management team to achieve business plan objectives,
• Development of an effective, capable and high performing operational organisation,
• Lead, Drive and Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business,
• Determine and implement operating strategies, including optimisation programs to minimise operating cost and improve product quality,
• Help in the forecasting and planning for ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, equipment and manpower,
• Forster and co-manage a constructive industrial relations climate at the facilities,
• Ensure compliance with all legislative environment requirement permits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Management, Business Administration or in the Engineering field.
• Five(5) or more years' experience at a management level in the manufacturing environment, Industrial Relations Experience.
