    Production Quantity Surveyor

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Responsible for managing, delivering, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on the WCGDoI programme.

    TASK DESCRIPTION
    PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT FOR THE WCGDoI MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME
    Managing the projects allocated, including but not limited to the following:

    • Ensuring adherence with cashflow and programme.
    • Drafting and reviewing of cashflow and programme.
    • Meeting deadlines.
    • Keeping the server up to date at all times.
    • Ensuring that all documentation is filed correctly.
    • Managing procurement of Contractors and PSP.
    • Managing consultants appointments and performance.
    • Managing contractors appointments and performance.
    • Complying with all processes and protocols.
    • Management of Contracts, including JBCC and NEC.
    • Checking, reviewing and endorsing Contractors payment certificates and invoices.
    • Checking, reviewing and endorsing PSP fee claims and invoices.

    Senior Mechanical Engineer

    JOB PURPOSE

    • Designs and reviews mechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.

    JOB FUNCTION

    • Projects are defined and are completed within agreed time frames and customer satisfaction of end result of projects is measured
    • Opportunities for improving ceramics and wear plate applications methods and ergonomics are identified and submitted to the Product Divisions for implementation
    • New Product design is completed as per customer request or approved innovation and formal report details results
    • Material selection and specification is analysed, tested and compared to other materials and report is produced for approval or decline
    • Material standards and specifications are compiled, made available and maintained. Failure analyses are completed in time and reported on
    • All project-related documentation i.e., correspondence, meeting minutes, contracts, purchase orders, reports, quality-related documentation etc. are identified and stored per project (hard copies and/or electronically) as per departmental standards
    • Technical Specifications, Markings and Drawings are maintained as per departmental procedure
    • Evaluate equipment and production methods in order to improve safety. 
    • Plan plant maintenance. Site-related safety issues are noted and dealt with or escalated to relevant parties

    QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

    • BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering Degree
    • At least 5 years relevant mechanical engineering experience
    • Fluent technical competency in Finite Element and Discrete Element Method simulation experience
    • Power plants (Eskom) workflow exposure would be an added advantage
    • 3D technology is utilised for the prototyping of products by utilising the Roamer arm and 3D printing
    • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and ANSYS FEA or CFD (can complete stress analysis using FEA software)

    Job Purpose

    • To perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, retrofits, installations, and commissioning of cranes and hoists across multiple customer sites. This role ensures all lifting equipment meets statutory and safety standards, maintaining optimal performance and compliance at all times.

    • Conduct electrical planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes and hoists at customer locations.

    Position Summary

    • The Master Electrician is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, testing, certification, inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in accordance with South African legislation and SANS 10142-1. The incumbent must hold a valid Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) and a Master Installation Electrician (Master Wireman's) registration issued through the Department of Employment and Labour.
