• Our client in Gauteng is looking for a General Manager to join their team
• The General Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient operations of the Tissue Manufacturing value chain at the Tissue Mill units.

Minimum requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment, paper and milling industry or tissue making 
• Industrial Relations Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Management, Business Administration or in the Engineering field
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills,
• Well-developed verbal, written and oral presentations communication skills,
• Employment Equity requirements: EE

Key responsibilities: 

• Ensure delivery and drive improvements of site Safety, Health, Environment and Risk programs,
• Lead a multidisciplinary management team to achieve business plan objectives,
• Development of an effective, capable and high performing operational organization,
• Lead, Drive and Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business,
• Determine and implement operating strategies, including optimization programs to minimize operating cost and improving product quality,
• Help in the forecasting and planning for ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, equipment and manpower,
• Forster and co-manage a constructive industrial relations climate at the facilities,
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, environment requirement permits
