General Manager: Exports at Kontak Recruitment

• Take ownership of a fresh-produce export business unit, leading operations from packhouse handover through to client delivery.
• This senior leadership opportunity offers broad operational responsibility across supply, logistics, allocation, grower relationships and team performance, with family housing available in Citrusdal.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary degree in business/management, supply chain, or a related field (Industrial Engineering qualification advantageous)
• Project management qualification advantageous
• 3 or more years’ GM or equivalent full operational-management experience
• Relevant fresh produce, export, supply-chain or closely related operational leadership experience
• Proven multidisciplinary team leadership experience
• Strong planning, logistics and export/supply-chain capability
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills
• Process and systems improvement exposure advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the export management and operations team and drive accountable execution
• Oversee supply-demand planning, logistics, export documentation and programme delivery
• Manage day-to-day delivery from packhouse handover through to the client
• Optimise product allocation across export operations
• Build and maintain strong grower-partner and cross-functional relationships
• Manage operational, commercial and supply-chain risk
• Drive improvements to processes and systems
• Lead budgeting and cost control for the export business unit
• Manage KPI and risk reporting
