Job Description

• Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a General Manager to be based at a Mine in North West!

Responsibilities:

• Legally appointed 4.1 under the Mine Health and Safety Act, ensuring full compliance with statutory, environmental, and governance requirements.
• Lead the development and execution of underground mining strategy, aligning operations with corporate goals and driving sustainable growth.
• Oversee underground production, engineering, and MRM functions, ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and optimal resource recovery.
• Drive a culture of safety, performance, and accountability, fostering teamwork, continuous improvement, and alignment with the company values.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including DMRE, unions, and technical teams, to maintain compliance, operational harmony, and industry excellence.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree / National Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• A Valid Blasting Certificate
• 15 years of mining experience, including 6 years in senior management roles within underground mining operations.
• Valid Driver’s License Code 08
