PRIMARY FUNCTION
Direct, develop, manage and implement the vision and mission of Roodepoort Theatre and provide leadership, direction and overall control of the operations of the theatre in building shareholder value, in a way consistent with the broad policy of the Board of Directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement and coordinate strategies and operational enhancements aimed at ensuring that the theatre delivers high-impact services to customers.
Manage the running of the theatre including the general maintenance of the theatre building, its stage machinery and its assets setting and maintaining excellent operating standards in both customer and client services.
Define, adjust, and manage personnel's key performance indicators, job design, and role boundaries against service delivery requirements.
Design and implementation of work procedures, standards and performance outputs.
Evaluate and comment on the applicability of specific key performance indicators and measures against outcomes detailed in the Roodepoort Theatre’s Business and Strategic Plans.
Present a conceptual framework of current and future interventions necessary to support core service delivery areas with accurate information and records of work in progress.
Developing an effective marketing campaign and realization of revenue objectives.
Expansion and development of production capabilities and diversification of audience.
Devise innovative ways to attract new audiences to the theatre.
Upgrade and maintain the theatre’s infrastructure, systems and equipment to support high-quality productions.
Coordinate and form partnerships for non-theatre programming (Music shows, festivals, poetry, movie screenings, performance competitions etc.).
