General Worker at Phakisa Group

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with collection and loading of waste onto trucks or containers
• Perform manual sorting of waste (recyclables vs non-recyclables)
• Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and tools
• Support recycling processes (separating paper, plastic, glass, metals)
• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials (if trained)
• Assist with site maintenance (landfills, transfer stations, recycling plants)
• Report unsafe conditions, damages, or incidents
• Adhere to company and legal health, safety, and environmental regulations

Skills required:

• Grade 12
• 2-3 years experience within Waste industry
• Good communication skills
• Clean criminal record
• Available immediately
• Rate: R30.23 Per Hour
