Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 10/Standard 8 (Essential/Minimum)
• AET Level 4 (Essential/Minimum)
• Relevant job-specific experience between 0-6 months (Essential/Minimum)
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
• Ability to adhere to safety regulations and operating procedures
• Capability to identify, rectify, and report unsafe practices and hazardous situations
• Experience in equipment operation and maintenance
• Proficiency in operating and repairing small tools and brush cutters
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment
• Strong collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills with an awareness of the ecosystem

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Comply with all safety regulations and promote a healthy and safe working environment at all times by wearing the required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Assist in the rehabilitation of mined areas, including filling cracks, planting grass, and eradicating weeds to ensure environmental sustainability.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on all equipment to identify and report any defects or unsafe conditions.
• Operate and maintain small tools and brush cutters according to safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform waste removal and cleaning tasks to prevent blockages and ensure equipment functionality.
• Support supervisors and foremen by providing help in operational activities and communicating findings or issues effectively.
• Identify and rectify unsafe practices or potential hazards, promptly reporting them to supervisors to maintain workplace safety.
• Undertake general support tasks and assist various sections as instructed, ensuring effective teamwork and productivity.
• Participate in business operations by carrying out front area inspections and ensuring adherence to loading and transport procedures.
• Demonstrate creativity and collaboration in addressing challenges, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in operational processes.
