    • Capture spatial data from general plans / property diagrams to maintain the assets / cadaster data in the Geodatabase. Coordinate with the GIS Data Specialist that all cadaster data updates are correct and verified.
    • Capture Metadata on a continuous basis and complete all information available, such as projections, dates, etc. Complete information regarding the design of the data capture process in the metadata.
    • On a project basis infield data capturing will be required using GPS units. Data captured infield must post processed and recorded. Verify all data captured using Satellite imagery and aerial photography where available.

    Data Manipulation

    • Maintain all spatial information in the GIS geodatabase on a continuous basis. This include activities such as data transformation, spatial data cleaning, data editing, attribute data cleaning and data classification.
    • Working with Geodatabase and SQL database files to store analysis results and new data creations. Perform tasks such as data interrogation queries, generation of data views and sharing of data with GIS colleagues.
    • Complete data management tasks such as general queries, data integration merging, splitting of spatial data and aggregation of data.
    • Maintain and manage the Landuse model by continuous updating and interaction with the planning department to ensure the data is correct that will link back to the forestry management system.

    Database and Spatial Modelling

    • Generate various spatial models to perform analysis tasks as well as tasks to update and maintain data in the Geodatabase. Generate derivative data using data models and scripting languages
    • With the creation of new data, feature classification and definitions must be designed and documented in the RMS document for spatial data. This will also include any changes to the GIS system design.
    • Data integrity analysis and maintenance must be performed daily as data is captured, edited or manipulated. All data must be stored in the Geodatabase to ensure all data is backed up and regular backup checks must be performed.

Other analysis includes network analysis, terrain and 3D analyses.

    Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry

    • Perform basic digital image analysis, and image ortho-rectification from aerial, drone and Satellite imagery on a continuous basis as data is acquired and sourced from various sources. Use the data to update and maintain GIS data models and requested analysis
