Job Description

• A leading luxury retail brand is seeking an experienced Global Retail & Omnichannel Director to lead its retail strategy, commercial performance, and international expansion.
• This executive leadership role will oversee retail stores, e-commerce, and omnichannel operations while driving expansion across South Africa, Africa, and key international markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, improving profitability, and ensuring operational excellence across all retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global retail growth strategy.
• Drive expansion into local and international markets.
• Lead omnichannel initiatives, integrating physical retail and e-commerce.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory planning, and stock optimisation.
• Deliver exceptional luxury customer experiences and client engagement strategies.
• Monitor commercial performance, profitability, and retail KPIs.
• Build and lead high-performing retail teams.
• Develop strategic partnerships with premium retail partners.
• Ensure consistent luxury brand standards across all channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Retail Management, Business Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• 10–15 years' senior retail leadership experience.
• At least 5 years' experience within a luxury or premium retail brand.
• Proven experience leading multi-store and multi-country retail operations.
• Extensive omnichannel and e-commerce experience.
• Strong commercial, financial, and strategic leadership skills.
• Experience driving international retail expansion.
• Strong understanding of merchandising, buying, inventory planning, and luxury consumer behaviour.
