Minopex is searching for fresh talent to join our organization as part of our Graduate -in-training Programme for Computer Engineering. The Aim of the program is to grow and develop suitable candidates with potential to form part of the System team. The aim of the program is to become certified as a:

•  Computer Engineer;
• Computer Engineering Technologist;
• Computer Certificated Engineer; or
•   Computer Engineering Technician.
• Depending on the Qualification. We are looking for recent graduates who are high performers, disciplined, dedicated and self-motivated to join our team

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Graduate Engineer-in-Training Programme is designed to equip graduates with industry experience and professional development through practical learning programmes.
• Graduates will develop skills through hands-on experience via personal interaction with more senior, experienced staff, learning through coaching, on-the-job training, addressing engineering and process challenges in the workplace, and understanding the nuts and bolts of our business.
• The Programme offers graduates a unique learning opportunity with ongoing assessment and feedback.
• The Programme for computer engineering provides graduates with a comprehensive understanding of the field, covering all relevant areas of knowledge and skills necessary for success. At the end of the programme, the candidate will be able to register as a professional at the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• This is a 2-year fixed-term programme, and permanent employment is not guaranteed upon completion of this programme.
• Successful applicants must be willing to be rotated between Minopex operations

Qualification Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, BSC Computer Science

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• 1 – 2 year’s work experience at a mine or plant with exposure and interest in MES/OMS systems will be advantageous

Technical skills in some of the following will be advantageous

•   Database Administration, Development and Management
• Web development (Vue.js, C#, C++)
• PLC programming (Integration)
• IOT integration (MQTT, OPC, Modbus etc)
• English language proficiency
• Must be a South African Citizen
