Graphic Designer at Learning Sandbox

Job description:

We are looking for highly talented full-time Graphic Designers to join the growing Learning Sandbox team. 

Learning Sandbox is an education technology consultancy based in Cape Town, South Africa. The heartbeat of our business is producing bespoke digital content while also offering strategic, pedagogical and digital asset research, design and production services. You’ll be responsible for injecting life into our digital marketing content with your graphic design skills. You’ll be working as a part of a larger content creation team, ensuring the visual content we load onto our web platform is attention-grabbing and of high quality. We want creative pioneers, who live outside the box and settle for nothing less than excellence. Newly graduates are welcome!

• Remuneration: Market-Related 

• Type: Full-Time

• Job level: Entry to intermediate. 

• Reports to: Nicole Marias 

• Location: Remote, with the option of coming into our shared office space in Constantia, Cape Town

• Company: Learning Sandbox

• Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to brand and style guidelines

• Liaise and collaborate with the broader creative team 

• Deliver your designs on deadline

• Keep yourself updated on any graphic design developments and trends in digital marketing.

• An ability to accurately interpret briefs and stay on brand, while not being afraid to pitch a new perspective is key 

• The ability to take lead on a project

• Communicate updates on multiple platforms

• Create innovative graphics that are accurate to the content

• Researching certain aspects of a brief

• Adapting quickly between different assets and projects

• Assisting in briefs and mock ups

• Creating templates and setting procedures

• Being able to comprehend challenging briefs

Requirements:

• Good problem solving skills

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Communication skills both written and verbal

• Degree in relevant field preferable but not required

• Willingness to work remotely 

• Newly graduates are welcome 

• A knowledge of Apple products is preferred but not required

• Experience in digital design is preferred but not required

• Can follow multiple requirements and procedures

• Comfortable with working on multiple tasks at the same time

• Ability to work with Adobe Illustrator and other adobe products

• Must be eligible for employment in South Africa.
