    Group Account Director (Sandton)

    Role Overview

    • The Group Account Director is the senior lead on the Heineken Beverages portfolio, responsible for client leadership, strategic guidance, creative excellence, and smooth delivery across all brands and markets. This role ensures the agency consistently delivers high-quality, on-brief, on-time work while growing the partnership and leading a high-performing team.

    Requirements
    Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership

    • Build strong senior relationships across Heineken Beverages.
    • Provide strategic counsel on brand direction, creative platforms, and campaigns.
    • Drive alignment across stakeholders and identify growth opportunities.

    Strategy & Creative

    • Oversee annual brand planning and campaign development across multiple brands.
    • Ensure all briefs, feedback, and creative outputs ladder to business objectives.
    • Champion creative excellence from idea to execution.

    Operational Management

    • Lead all workstreams including TTL, digital, social, BTL, and experiential.
    • Maintain high standards in process: contact reports, timing plans, approvals.
    • Oversee resource planning and workflow across the business unit.

    Commercial Management

    • Own financial performance of the portfolio: scopes, retainers, POs, profitability.
    • Drive efficiencies and identify opportunities to expand agency scope.

    Team Leadership

    • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
    • Support career growth and ensure strong cross-departmental integration.

    Skills & Experience

    • 10+ years in integrated agency account leadership.
    • Experience with large beverage or FMCG clients.
    • Strong strategic, commercial, and communication skills.
    • Proven ability to lead large teams and complex portfolios.
