The Group Financial Controller is responsible for financial oversight, reporting integrity, internal controls, and cash flow management across multiple operating companies within the group. The role leads a centralised finance team and ensures accurate financial reporting, strong balance sheet control, disciplined treasury management, and compliance with financial governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee month-end close across all group entities
Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Produce consolidated management accounts and financial reports
Analyse financial performance and provide variance commentary
Ensure financial reporting deadlines are consistently met
Maintain strong internal financial controls and segregation of duties
Approve payment batches in line with the company approval matrix
Approve new vendors and vendor banking changes
Oversee group treasury management and liquidity
Maintain and monitor a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including VAT and PAYE
Lead and supervise the shared services finance team
Minimum Requirements
CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent qualification preferred
