Group Maintenance Executive at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL FOODS is looking for a strategic and experienced leader to drive maintenance excellence across its operations as a Group Maintenance Executive. This role is critical in ensuring plant reliability, extending asset life, and optimizing maintenance performance through standardization, capability development, continuous improvement and innovation. You’ll lead the charge in transforming maintenance practices across a multi-site environment, aligning with industry best practices and delivering measurable results.

Minimum Requirements    
Education & Qualifications:

• NQF Level 7, Engineering Degree/B-Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Preferred: GCC (Government Certificate of Competency)

Experience:

• Up to 12 years in maintenance, with strong operational execution and leadership experience
• Proven ability to lead maintenance strategy and drive performance improvement

Competencies:

• Strategic leadership in coaching, change management, relationship building, and results delivery
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and commercial awareness
• Ability to influence, innovate, and collaborate across functions

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Provide strategic input on maintenance technologies and trends.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance work practices and governance.
• Lead assessments and initiatives to elevate maintenance maturity.
• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across maintenance teams.
• Align maintenance with operations, engineering, and supply chain functions.
• Drive cost optimization and asset performance improvements using data and analytics.
• Implement new technologies and processes to improve efficiency.
• Develop succession plans and training programs to build maintenance capabilities.
