    Van Sheet Clerk

    Job Description

    • Process driver Van Sheets and internal documents accurately and to the satisfaction of the Van Sheet Supervisor  (Stock in van, Credit notes, Credit returns, manual invoices, etc.
    • All processing for the previous day to be completed on time .
    • Maintaining good relations with drivers and assisting drivers on driver queries relating to his van sheet.
    • Driver’s/ IDC’s recon to be finalized on-time and must be accurately signed by both the driver/IDC and the recon clerk daily.
    • Immediately report any pricing differences to the relevant responsible person and the Van Sheet Supervisor
    • Scan all POD’’s ( Invoices and external documentation) daily on Capisol and clear Capisol que daily.
    • Ensure that credit note numbers are recorded on the relevant claim document.
    • Scan all Claims on Capsol and match all claims with the relevant credit note number from each user before commencing with the current day’s work

    Stock Inventory Controller (Fixed Term Contract)

    Our Talent Team is on the hunt for a Stock Inventory Controller on a Fixed Term Contract for their Grocery Division. The role will be based in Randfontein and will report into the Process Manager.

    The purpose of this role is to build an inventory management system that accurately maps and controls material movement, consumption, waste and finished goods declaration for the conversion process. The further purpose of the role is to plan, co-ordinate, supervise stock counts, cycle counts and actively manage inventory losses through effective communication, leadership of focussed improvement initiatives related to inventory, and coaching and development of the production team. Responsible for maintaining and managing inventory system integrity for the conversion process. To continuously strive to improve the physical inventory process.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Matric is required.
    • Must have a Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Economics/Warehouse Management (NQF6).
    • Min 3 years experience in inventory management for conversion process, warehouse management, statistical data analysis and operational execution.
    • Proficiency in Excel (expert level).

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Conduct cycle counting weekly on top 15 materials contributing to highest physical/financial loss in the process.
    • Coordinate and conduct monthly stock counts according to company procedure and policies.
    • Coordinate and conduct variance analysis (weekly for cycle counting and monthly for stock take).
    • Identify and lead inventory improvement projects to drive down physical/financial losses.
    • Set up scrap monitoring system for packaging and ensure weekly write offs take place for the conversion process (preparation, extrusion & packaging).
    • Optimize physical processes related to inventory management and ensure alignment with the ERP system.
    • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
    • Verify FEFO principles are being properly managed.
    • Continuous monitoring of system vs physical stock, investigate discrepancies and eliminate inaccuracies to ensure system reflects true physical stock.
    • Ensure SDO stock is invoiced and loaded as per plan.

    • Verify the loading of shipments on ERP system reflects physical production and meets the required production plan at SKU level.

    • Report and analyze stock reports and recommend changes to SOP’s to improve accuracy.

    The successful incumbent will be responsible to process all driver documents timeously to reflect the driver balance.

    Van Sheet Processing

    • Ensure that the payment has been processed and appears on the front page before printing the driver van sheets recon.
    • Initiate a workflow request for any driver adjustments/pricing corrections that need to be done.
    • Ensure all driver paperwork is readily available in case of queries.

    Printing

    • Print driver recon, customer pricing and route balancing report for each driver when required.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and ensure peak performance.
    The Utilities Artisans will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing utilities equipment including ammonia and freon refrigeration systems, boilers, air compressors and electrical reticulation, ensuring safe and efficient operation, and adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • N3 mechanical/electrical engineering/Refrigeration
    • Trade test 
    • Registration with SAQCC GAS 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Daily Plant Inspections: This includes checking various components like plantrooms, condensers, valve stations, spiral freezers, chillers, boilers and air compressors.
    • Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance tasks from work orders and time allocations. 
    • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identifying and resolving issues around utilities equipment. 
    • Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to PPE protocols and all safety regulations related to ammonia handling, pressure vessels, critical valves and other statutory requirements as per OHS act, SANS 10147 and other relevant regulations. 
    • Documentation: Keeping detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Developing quick fix routines, standard work instructions and root cause analysis for breakdowns within areas of responsibility.
    • Operating Equipment: Operating lifting machinery and other equipment required for maintenance tasks. 
    • Quality Control: Ensuring all quality, housekeeping, safety, and production standards are adhered to. 
    • Training and Supervision: Assisting experienced technicians and providing training to apprentices and assistants.
    • Emergency Response: Obtain training in emergency procedures and safety equipment usage, including the "buddy-buddy" system. 
    • Perform any other related jobs that may be assigned from time to time

    Knowledge and skills: 

    • Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration: A thorough understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems, including their components and operation.

The successful incumbent will support the R&D department in the development of new products, factory trials and be responsible for all test baking and reporting thereof.

    The successful incumbent will be required to:

    • Carry out planned and autonomous maintenance, to reduce unplanned maintenance and optimize plant availability (maintain LTA set targets).
    • Calibrate, repair, and maintain control gear/instrumentation and associated equipment (Electrical interlocks) to ensure operation within set standards and produce calibration certificates.
    • Carry out installations, defined checks, trouble shooting, testing, repairs and modifications to instrumentation and electronic equipment.
    • Maintain and improve existing PLC, HMI, SCADA systems and Instrumentation networks (hardware and software) and perform changes/modifications as required.
    • Ensure proper documentation to make changes/modifications are completed and filed.
