Group Senior Finance Analyst at Afrizan Personnel

• Preparation of Board pack and results announcements
• Review of unearned profits working and journals, and review of other journals and provide insights to regional finance heads
• Ensures that her preparation of inputs is beyond data consolidation but to make sure it is accurate and consistent
• Reconciliation of Cognosis submissions
• Provide key financial inputs in the preparation of Group Annual financial statements and supporting role to Group Financial Reporting Executive for ultimate responsibility and accountability
• Support to other business processes to supply accurate and timely information for inclusion in the integrated report
• Prepare all information required to analyse the following: Group margins/expenses/working capital/capex and cash flow movements
• Recommend reporting format including the improvement of projects format
• Timeous reporting of Exchange rate to enable the business to respond in-time and appropriately

Effective business analysis

• Provides in-time analysis of the status of working capital; provides detailed reconciliation
• of stock movements for unearned profit calculation
• Provides business analysis expertise in the finalisation of group financial statements in so doing she determines the data reporting intent; accurateness and provide clarity during the process of data verification by external auditors
• Close relationship with regional finance heads to forge collaboration that ensures relevant and value-add analysis are constantly provided
• Intensive working capital analysis, report back to business and provide insights of the interventions required
• Attend major business unit review meetings on a monthly basis to gain a better understanding of the business and financial expectations

Effective internal controls and risk and sustainability reporting across the business

• Support and handover of Group Audit to Group Consolidation team (to ensure proper flow of information and engagement with Auditors)
• Troubleshooting issues on Cognosis that cannot be resolved by Group Consolidation team with the view of resolving them and thereafter handing them over in time to back to Group Consolidation team (this minimise potential risks before they could occur)
• Ensure TM1 report writing is investigated and implemented

Projects

• Automate of unearned profit calculation in GSS
• Drive any working capital related projects as per business recommended interventions o New IFRS implementations
• Design a detailed template for high F1 process o Drive a Central finance SAP

• Build a strong relationship between financial controlling/Finance Project Team and regional finance heads
• Work closely with regional finance heads
• Forge close and transparent relationship with external auditors

Qualifications and Experience

• CA (SA) with 3 to 4 years post article experience
• Strong understanding of SAP system implementations and SAP principles
• Must have a good knowledge and understanding of IFRS principles
• Sound experience in auditing process and dealing with external auditors
• Knowledge of underlying business processes and ability to propose improvements
• Strong MS excel skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a challenging fast paced environment
