Job Advert Summary    

• The purpose of this position is to perform basic maintenance tasks, including elementary plumbing repairs and general upkeep, to ensure facilities, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.                                                                                                                                                                             

Requirements    

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
• Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level 
• Experience in working with senior management
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety protocols
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Work in extreme conditions
• Basic tool experience

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Install, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, fixtures
• Work with various types of pipes, including copper, pvc, polycorp and galvanized.
• Install couplers up to 200 mm pvc pipes
• Use various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, drills, and wrenches.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing faults including leaks, blockages, and drainage issues using jetting machines and cameras
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely.
• Provide clear documentation of work completed using job management systems.
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations.
