Job Description

• The ideal team player will provide efficient and effective maintenance support to the factory. This includes ensuring the general appearance of the building and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with required standards. The role involves attending to repairs, maintenance, and servicing various building structures ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective operation of the building.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Minimum 2 year’s relevant experience in a wide range of handyman tasks.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of plant safety. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman duties and repairs within the plant.
• Paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings and other parts of the building
• Ability to change doors, change locks, fix door hinges etc.
• Inspect potential maintenance / repair issues and address them promptly.
• Safe keeping of assigned tools and equipment. Working conditions: Indoors mostly, however outdoors work is also required. Working at heights will also be required. Carrying heavy objects may be required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Ad hoc handyman duties as when and required.
