Handyman - Welder at Bidvest Facilities Management

ROLE PURPOSE

Employee will be responsible for performing a variety of welding, fabrication, and maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires the ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills. The Handyman Welder will also be responsible for completing general maintenance tasks as needed.

MAIN OUTPUTS

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various metal materials
• Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and structures as needed
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any issues
• Complete general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
• Assist with snow removal and landscaping tasks as necessary
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• At least 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Welding certification/trade test
