Head Chef & Food and Beverage Manager – KZN Midlands
Our client is seeking a passionate, hands-on, and highly organised professional for the dual role of Head Chef & Food and Beverage Manager with strong culinary and leadership experience.
Responsibilities
Create and develop seasonal menus and food offerings while maintaining exceptional quality, presentation, and consistency
Lead the kitchen team and oversee all food preparation and service operations
Manage the day-to-day restaurant and bar operations
Plan and oversee catering and food & beverage experiences for conferences, team-building events, private functions, golf groups, corporate stays, families, and exclusive-use guests
Manage both kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure consistently high standards of food, service, and hospitality
Work closely with the wider team to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a professional chef
Previous Food & Beverage management experience is essential
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
It is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and public holidays during peak operating periods
Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Passion for hospitality, food, and delivering exceptional guest experiences
