MBChB, Angiography, Body and Neurointervention Directorate Diagnostic Radiology. Minimum Qualifications: Mmed (Rad) D or FC Rad (D) SA or equivalent. Extensive experience in General Radiology, Sonar, Mammography, CT,MRI, PET/CT, Angiography, Body and Neurointervention. A minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA current Registration with the HPCSA (full) as a Radiologist with appropriate experience in Angiography, Body and Neurointervention and having completed the Planet Course/or equivalent qualification in General/Body and Neurointervention. Proof of current registration with the HPCSA 2025/2026.
Duties :
General administration and managerial duties pertaining to the Department of Radiology and duties as needed by the Head of Department, and additionally, management and administration of the Angiography, Body and Neurointevention Unit. Assist in providing and improving Radiological services of a high standard.
Be competent in General Radiology, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MRI, PET/CT, Angiography and Interventional Radiology, including experience in Cardiac CT and MRI, Neuro CT and MRI.
Participate in pre and post graduate training and research projects. Fulfilment of Academic and administrative duties and criteria as required by Steve Biko Academic Hospital and the University of Pretoria. Render after hours clinical services as required. Supervise and participate in the Department of Radiology Research programme.
