MBChB, MMed (Anaes), FCA(SA) or equivalent, Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for independent practice as a specialist anaesthesiologist. A minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA and at least 3 years anaesthesia experience in a tertiary academic government hospital after registration with the HPCSA as a specialist anaesthesiologist. Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills. Proof of current registration with the HPCSA 2025/2026.
Duties :
Provide clinical anaesthesia patient care services. Provide academic and administrative leadership. Teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Participate in and supervision of research projects.
