Provide strategic direction, guidance and to oversee the implementation of Transnet Freight Rails stakeholder engagement and community engagement Strategy.
Leads and manages stakeholder management, hospitality, social or community investment and sponsorship of TFR to community that we engaged with.
The position will also focus on leading/ Guiding and taking accountability in terms of positioning TFR on external and international railways and stakeholders.
Relationship Management while providing leadership to the Corridors on Corporate Affairs matters.
Position Outputs
Accountable for the execution of the TFR/Corridor strategy on Stakeholder Management & Corporate affairs to ensure that the Corridor is represented in key stakeholder forums and decision-making processes.
Identification of stakeholders, mapping a plan and building and sustaining relationships.
Monitor and coordinates the mapping, ranking and prioritization of all Corridor stakeholders and ensure alignment with company objectives and business priorities and social responsibilities.
Develop, coordinate, support and monitor the implementation of a structured programme of interaction between Communications and Media and stakeholders.
Regular monitoring and evaluating of community and engagement stakeholder communications activities to assist the organisation to be more responsive in dealing with stakeholder issues that affect the TFR/Corridor’s operations.
Design, develop and conduct stakeholder surveys to determine stakeholder satisfaction with regard to the service provided and if their expectations are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships with all critical stakeholders internally and externally at all levels including Public & Private sectors.
Be a face of TFR in the Corridor through liaising with stakeholders in arranging and coordinating strategic and high-profile events to ensure that stakeholders are informed about the Corridor/TFR activities, and the organisation is more responsive.
Stakeholder consultative forums and TFR activism
Create platform for events management, coordination and leadership guidelines.
Events management calendar of TFR and for the Corridor (Rewards and recognition, GM awards, conference and exhibitions, etc.).
Provide leadership guidelines and manage subordinates by allocating work, assessing progress, coaching, training and motivate to ensure productive utilisation of staff and instill a performance culture within the department.
Provide strategic direction and support on the safety initiatives pertaining the community in the Corridor’s operational areas.
Provide stakeholder management and support from a corporate communication aspect.
Provide a platform for the CE, EXCO to get involved in external railways and strategic project/s and Transnet ODs.
Qualifications and Experience
B Degree (e.g., Communications; Political Science, Public Admin)/SAQA equivalent.
Post-graduate qualification would be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Corporate Affairs environment of which at least 5 years at a managerial level within a large operations/business environment
Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment
Must undergo Lifestyle Audit Standard Requirements
