The University of Venda is a South African comprehensive rural-based institution, located in Thohoyandou in Limpopo province. It was established in 1982 under the then Republic of Venda government.
LLM Degree with ten years post-admission experience. A person must be admitted as an Attorney, with the Right of appearance in the High Courts and registered, and with a letter of good standing from the Legal Practice Council, be computer literate, and have excellent communication skills.
Duties:
Strategically manage the activities of the Law Clinic
Report to the School of Law, Faculty Board and LPC on behalf of the Law Clinic
Manage budget of the Law Clinic and related cost centre
Manage and supervise junior staff members attached to the Law Clinic.
Register and train candidate attorneys attached to the Law Clinic
Approve and allocate files.
Teach the teaching of Clinical Legal Education attached to the Law Clinic.
Manage practical training of senior Law Students.
Coordinate community engagement projects run by the Law Clinic
Manage relations with courts and other stakeholders in the justice cluster
Represent clients in legal matters attached to the Law Clinic.
