Head of Assets (Mining / Development Assets / M&A Projects) at EarthStream

The Role

EarthStream is representing a leading diversified mining organisation; they are currently looking for a Head of Development Assets to manage the licenses of multiple assets at different stages of development from concept to bankability phase. Reporting to the CEO, your role will be to maximise the value of these assets through development and further mergers and acquisitions.

The successful candidate will have some of the following responsibilities:

Implementation of a package of measures for ongoing M&A projects

• Oversee implementation and running of M&A projects.

Interaction with external contractors

• Build and develop relationships with external partners. (financial advisers, asset valuation consultants, consulting, and audit companies, etc.),

Management and staff development

• Formulates and monitors key performance indicators for its subordinates

Hands on oversight of non-core assets management/ development

• Oversee the management of non-core assets, in relation to technical and support functions, manage planned asset development, maintenance, budget planning and execution.

Manage key stakeholders

• Oversee projects progress and follow-up with initiatives/ tasks owners

The successful candidate will meet the following key selection criteria:

• Degree preferably in Economics/Finance/Management/Project Management.
• 10 years’ project development (concept to execution) experience within top-tier strategy consulting / Investment house / Corporate.
• Exposure to M&A or Private Equity deals would be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ managerial experience with at least 2 direct subordinates
• Skills in investment analysis of projects and assets within large scale projects. i.e. Mining, Power Generation etc.
• Knowledge of best practices in project management and detailed implementation planning skills.
