Associate Professor

Minimum Requirements:

• A PhD / Doctorate in Accounting or related field
• A candidate with an undergraduate qualification in Management Accounting will be given priority.
• At least 7 years of teaching experience at tertiary institution.
• Evidence of publication track record in peer reviewed journals.
• Evidence of completed postgraduate supervision.
• A strong passion for teaching and research.

Additional Requirement:

• Registration with an accounting professional body will be an added advantage. Most importantly CIMA.

Summary of Duties:

• Required to lecture in Management Accounting/Financial Management.
• Undertake and supervise tutorials.
• Participate in research activities.
• Be willing to develop new programme offerings and be willing to participate in curriculum development.
• Supervise postgraduate students including Masters and PhDs
• Engage in community / External Engagement Services including playing an active role in the functioning of Professional and subject related associations.
• Develop and write study material.
• Undertake administration and other academic duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Senior Lecturer

• Evidence of completed postgraduate supervision.
• Evidence of publication track record in peer reviewed journals.
• A strong passion for teaching and research.
