Key Tasks

 Overall:

• Provide strategic input into the day-to-day and long-term growth plan of the business.
• Deliver on strategic projects.
• Represent the organisation on governance and statutory committees.
• Manage and ensure compliance with governance and tax requirements, including organisation secretarial duties.
• Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls through collaboration with the Risk team.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team to achieve organizational goals.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on key financial decisions and contribute to overall business strategy.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 Financial Leadership:

• Providing strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team.
• Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborating with senior management to develop and execute the organisation's financial strategy.

 Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Taking full ownership of annual financial audits (internal & external).
• Working closely with FP&A team to complete the annual budget cycle.
• Identifying and executing automation opportunities.
• Providing insights and recommendations to support organisation’s decision-making.
• Ensuring full statutory compliance relating to direct & indirect organisation taxes.
• Being responsible for the integrity of all financial records.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and reporting mechanisms.
• Oversee the monthly payroll processes.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Overseeing the accounts’ payable/receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices/payments & invoicing/collections.

 Treasury & Compliance:

• Monitoring and managing cash flow and working capital, to optimise overall liquidity and support organisation operations.
• Ensure compliance of the organisation’s procurement activities in line with processes.
• Ensure compliance with the B-BBEE strategy for the organisation annually.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Professionally Qualified – CA(SA)
• 5-6 years of post-article experience, including managing a team.
• Proven work experience as a Head of Finance or similar role

•  Academic degree obtained (Accounting/Finance) with
• 8-10 years of proven experience in Head of Finance or similar role, including managing a team.
•  Extensive experience of communicating with various stakeholders across multiple channels and geographies.
