Head of Infrastructure and Support (IT Manager) - Logistics - Johannesburg at Rhenus Logistics

Vacancies Details:

• Manage, maintain and support Microsoft Windows applications and systems
• Manage desktop support to all employees
• Investigate IT related solutions to meet departmental needs
• 1st level support (on-site) and 2nd level support (region) for all users related to IT Infrastructure and applications
• Contribute to development of IT run and maintain procedures (run books)
• Review and assess existing IT landscape and infrastructure regarding robustness, security and sustainability
• Participate in global / regional proof of concepts
• Ensure all critical servers are covered under an appropriate maintenance plan
• Implement training and skills development for I.T. staff
• Ensure that IT policies are made aware to staff and are adhered to at all times
• Report incident and system information to management
• Annual budgeting for the IT department
• Support audits – responsible to support solution of any security topics
• Manage data protection in the regions (regional legislation)
• Implement training and skills development for IT Staff
• Hands on support for centrally managed infrastructure
• Build regional competence in O365, VMWARE Workspace One (Airwatch) and Fortinet security / device stack

Candidate Requirements

• Matric or relevant Senior Certification equivalent 
• Proven experience of managing an IT department
• Experience in IT Infrastructure planning and development
