Job Description

To develop and implement the Health & Safety Program at Gritco Bethlehem in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety act 85 of 1993.

Required minimum education/Training and Work Experience:

• Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements as per OHS act 85 of 1993
• Training in Accident and Incident Investigation
• Completed SAMTRAC - NQF: 5
• 3 years as a Health & Safety Officer in a production environment

Knowledge            

• Good understanding of OHS act 85 of 1993
• Good understanding of FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System
• Good understanding of SMETA audits

Skills            

• Good planning and organisational skills
• Fluent in English (Read, write, speak)
• Good computer literacy especially Microsoft Office
• Good people skills
