Health and Safety Officer - Ekurhuleni (East Rand)
The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. To advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures. The role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety.
REQUIRED COMPETENCY & TRAINING
SAMTRACT OR NEBOSH certification
SACPCMP registered
Grade 12
Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Health & Safety Officer in a construction and or manufacturing environment.
Fluent in English (Speak, Read & Write)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Email
Excellent communication and planning skills
Attention to Detail
Strong Analytical skills
Need to be able to problem solve independently
Flexible and adaptability to rapid environmental changes
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be prepared to work overtime when and if needed
We run a 24 hour operation and candidate must attend to any Injury on Duty (IOD) when and if needed.
